We have 25 years of experience with Tandem and Love Your Neighbour in helping churches be more effective in outreach. Together with others, including our colleague Bruce Edmonds, we are also engaged in a church plant of our own called church@onetwosix in Pt Chevalier.
Our big idea? Instead of asking church folk to serve the mission of their church, we ask churches to serve the mission of their people by equipping them and supporting them. We define mission as ‘the process by which my friends become part of my church family’.
Our workshops are aimed at helping the whole church family embrace mission together. They are run at the invitation of a church for their whole congregation.
The Inviting Workshop is a 2.5 hour workshop that faces the fears associated with inviting others to a church event and gives practical training through role-play, especially dealing with 'No'!
Our Redemptive Family church series is a 6-week journey that includes daily devotionals, weekly surveys, sermon and small group material. At the end we run a weekend churchwide conversation to help embed some small but significant culture change that will set the church on the path to becoming a truly redemptive family!
