Who we are
About Westgate
An authentic family of Jesus in West Auckland — here's our story, what we believe, and the people who serve here.
A church for West Auckland, since the beginning.
We’re a community of 100–200 people from across West Harbour, Hobsonville, Westgate and beyond — all ages, all stages, gathered around Jesus.
We believe we’re called to become an authentic family of Jesus, showing who He is through our lives and loving the people He has created. Whether you’ve followed Jesus for decades or you’re just curious, there’s a place for you here.
I’m new
Your first Sunday
No pressure and nothing expected of you — here’s what a Sunday at Westgate looks like.
01
Come as you are
There’s no dress code. Arrive a few minutes before 10am and someone will say hello and point you in the right direction.
02
The service
Worship, community news and a message from the Bible. Stick around afterwards — we share coffee together after the service.
03
Kids are welcome
Children’s Ministry runs every term Sunday — kids start in the service with everyone, then head out to their own programme.
Sundays 10am · 67 Hobsonville Road, West Harbour
What we believe
Our Beliefs
We believe God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and these three are One. God is revealed to us through the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, which is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Through the Bible we see that it is only through Jesus that we are saved. God's Holy Spirit is present with believers today; empowering them to live like Jesus and live for Him.
Come and sees us or contact us for further details on what we believe and why we believe Jesus calls us to a life-long adventure of discipleship.

Kingsley Morris
Senior Pastor · Minita Matua
For almost thirty years Kingsley’s primary passion and sense of call has been helping people see how the Bible speaks to their lives today. This has been expressed through time as a Youth Worker in Auckland, an extended time of pastoral ministry in a South Island town, teaching and preaching in other nations, developing leaders and discipleship while living in Malawi, and since May 2020 as Senior Pastor of Westgate Baptist. Kingsley is married to Maree and they like to share together in ministry. Kingsley and Maree have two daughters – Lydia & Hannah. To re-charge his batteries Kingsley likes to water-ski on glassy calm water, to cook, and to read novels.

Ian Waddington
Office Administrator
Hi there - I have worked in this role since 2023, and in the past have worked in various areas, including banking, building, the disability sector, teaching, and Christian ministry. Like Jesus (I hope!) I enjoy serving where I can and where I'm needed. I have three sons and two grandsons, and in my time off enjoy the garden, art and movies.

Taleah Parker
Children's Pastor · Minita mā ngā Tamariki
Hi, I'm Taleah! I am a wife, a mum, and a former teacher with a heart for the next generation. I deeply love Jesus and have a lifelong passion for working with kids. Here at Westgate Baptist, I coordinate Westgate Kidz Church and love coming alongside families to support them on their faith journey. My greatest joy is helping children understand and experience the incredible love of Christ in a way that is real and meaningful to them. When I'm not hanging out with our church kids or running after my own little one, you can usually find me getting a good workout in or outside enjoying the beauty of nature.
